Do you know the endless benefits to getting up early?  This is one of my very favorite things to do every day!  If you haven’t tried getting up early (at least 1-2 hours before you *have* to), then I challenge you to start today.  Some of the most successful people in the world get up early. Why, you ask? They have hours in the morning of uninterrupted time.  Whether that be before your kids get up, or before the chatter of the office day starts, you can really focus on being productive before other responsibilities take over.  And NO, I am not saying to wake up early to spend hours on social media -- make this time meaningful and productive!

Here are some ideas to make your early mornings more meaningful and productive:

  1. Prayer/Meditation
  2. Exercise
  3. Hydrate (16 oz of lemon water upon rising helps to cleanse the liver after a hard night’s work)
  4. Write down what you are thankful for (at least 3 things per day!)
  5. Read something growth oriented
  6. Watch the sunrise

In addition, getting up early helps you to sleep better.  That’s right, if you are up and going at 5am, getting stuff done all day, your shut eye at night will come much easier.  I know a lot of you out there are having trouble sleeping, so what harm could it do?

Getting up early makes me personally feel so much more accomplished for the day.  I really notice that on the days I choose to stay in bed and not get up early, my days seem to lag behind.

A wonderful resource I highly recommend is https://www.miraclemorning.com. Hal uses the acronym SAVERS (Silence, Affirmations, Visualization, Exercise, Reading, Scribing) for his miracle morning equation.

So, who’s up for it?  Are you ready to take charge of your life and start getting out of bed, let’s say, at 5am?

Jenny
