Welcome! My name is Jenny Diehl and I’m the Founder and Love Curator of Cura.Te. To understand more about who I am and how Cura.Te started, we need to rewind a bit...
Like everyone, there are some very special people in my life who have made a huge impact and have changed me for the better. Jesus, my husband, and my Grandpa are a few. And, the person that is really at the core and the reason that Cura.Te exists today is my sweet Momma.
In 2007, my mom died at the young age of 59 from early onset Alzheimer’s. This completely devastated me and changed my life in a huge way. I soon began to question how it happened and will it happen to me? These questions set me on a journey, one with a mission of finding the truth about this horrible disease. It led me to study Alzheimer’s and many other degenerative and neurological diseases, and into the field of Holistic medicine where I later became a Board Certified Holistic Nutritionist.
After morphing our household from the SAD (Standard American Diet) to a healthy, organic, plant-based way of living, I began exploring other ways our lifestyle was affecting our health. Now that we were more intentional about what went into our bodies, it occurred to me that we should give equal attention to what we put onto our bodies. You see, our skin is our largest organ (we have approximately 22 feet of skin wrapped around us!) and it needs proper care. Everything that we put on our skin goes directly into our bloodstream! After much time and research, I realized that I couldn't find products that met my standard of being completely free of chemicals, toxins, and perfumes. So, I started making my own soaps and cleaners. This is when Cura.Te was born. After four years of perfecting recipes, I’m really excited to introduce Cura.Te to you!
I am continually learning and studying in the field of holistic and natural medicine while enjoying the beauty and serenity of Durango, CO, where I live with my most loving and handsome husband, Dan, and our beautiful children, Avery and Graham. I love long hikes, traveling, cooking, reading, and the color we affectionately call Grandpa green. In my time away from Cura.Te, you’ll find me picking wildflowers, homeschooling my kids, watching my insightful daughter on horseback, and my talented son doing magic tricks. My mom left her legacy…I feel like the most blessed girl in the world!
