Red Root

Red Root is a healing herb that has effective antibiotic, antispasmodic, antiviral, and expectorant properties. I love this healing herb because it’s a powerful lymphatic cleanser! I’m very proactive at regularly utilizing the herbs which help to cleanse the garbage out of my lymphatic system.

As someone who suffered with sinus infections, chest infections, and bronchitis, I was always looking for healing herbs which would shorten the duration of any bouts of sickness I experienced—especially in the respiratory department. Red root is great for knocking down episodes of sinusitis and bronchitis. Since it has antispasmodic properties, it was a key healing herb for me to use when I experienced painful cramps from menstruation.

Red root is great for helping to prevent or shorten the duration of colds, flu, and respiratory infections. It has the ability to help remove phlegm and mucus from the respiratory tract and sinus passages. As an added bonus--red root also works well for digestive ailments, especially gas, and bloating.

So what other sort of symptoms or conditions would I use red root for?

In addition to sinusitis, bronchitis, and painful periods-- If I suffered with urinary tract infections, liver problems, mononucleosis, chicken pox, fever, nosebleeds, headaches, and asthma, I would be bringing in the red root. If I was dealing with muscle spasms, leg cramps, constipation, indigestion, or abdominal pain, I would make sure I was utilizing this antispasmodic healing herb daily.

Medical Medium says that red root is very effective at eliminating ovarian and breast cysts from the body. He also notes that this healing herb has mild sedative properties which can help alleviate depression and tendencies for insomnia.

Red root is commonly used to treat Epstein-Barr virus, shingles, Hodgkin’s disease and hepatitis. It has also been used in the treatment of STDs such as syphilis and gonorrhea. Red root is particularly beneficial for oral health and has been shown to help prevent canker sores, tooth decay, dental plaque, and gum infections. As a gargle, it can help to prevent or stop strep throat, sore throat, or tonsillitis.

** If you have acute inflammation of the spleen, you should avoid RED ROOT.**

Cleavers

My number one reason for consuming herbal infusions with cleavers is that it's one of the most effective herbs for cleansing my lymphatic system. It’s also a very powerful tool to help MOVE my lymphatic system (so it pairs very well with regular #SmileAerobics sessions—See my YouTube channel for my SmileAerobics workout videos) …It’s also beneficial for helping to dissolve lymphatic congestion. In addition to cleansing the lymphatic system, cleavers are also highly beneficial for removing toxic debris out of my blood. They can also help to tone and strengthen my entire circulatory system. I don’t use cleavers consistently, rather, I’ll use them for 2 weeks, then take a 2 week break, and then go back on them for another 2 weeks—and repeat the cycle.  That’s just what I do to ensure that this herb will always be effective, and work at it's optimal capacity inside my body.

So what other sort of symptoms or conditions would I use cleavers for?

If I needed to try and reduce swollen glands, or ease upper respiratory congestion, or eliminate mucous from the body—I’d be bringing in the cleavers. If I was dealing with edema, bloating, and water retention—cleavers would be a part of my protocol. If I suffered with any liver disorders, including jaundice—or if I just wanted to prevent jaundice and liver disorders—Herbal infusions with cleavers would be part of my master plan to heal myself.

Medical Medium says that cleavers are often used to reduce and eliminate lumps in the breast, as well as reduce swelling and pain associated with urinary tract infections and cystitis. It is also known to help reduce swelling with enlarged prostates, plus, it also works as a tonic for the stomach and is a good remedy for ulcers and hemorrhoids. Cleavers contains anti-tumor compounds and is an effective natural treatment taken both internally and externally to help reduce the effects of cancer.
