Sea salt makes a beautifully dense bar of soap with many essential minerals such as calcium and magnesium which provide nourishment and bring healing to the skin.
From the name, you can guess that sea salt comes from evaporating the water from salt water (such as the ocean or saltwater lakes). What you may not know is that sea salt is great for exfoliating the skin and also works as a wonderful moisturizer. Sea salt is unique in that it contains all 84 essential minerals the human body produces.
Depending on where the sea salt originated, the distribution of minerals in each salt varies. Sea salt is also high in electrolytes, which you lose in high amounts by sweating during an intense workout. We’ve added peppermint essential oil to our Organic Sea Salt Soap Bar, making for a very light and refreshing soap!
