Historically, passion flower was used to treat gastrointestinal spasms. This healing herb also helps to lower blood pressure and relieve tachycardia. If I was suffering from Parkinson’s symptoms or any seizures, I would bring passion flower into my life as the antispasmodic effects in this herb can be highly beneficial. Passion flower has also been used to treat nerve pain in shingles patients. In some schools of research, it’s said that passion flower has a little bit of an aphrodisiac effect to it.
