Chamomile is a mild sedative and a good gastric anti-inflammatory. It calms the nerves, settles the stomach, and helps to expel gas. This is an excellent nervine agent, especially for children. It can be made into a tea and sweetened for colic, hyperactivity, teething, fussiness, fever, or irritability in infants and children.
For adults, chamomile tea is most commonly known to promote a restful night’s sleep. This medicinal herb is especially beneficial for those who suffer with insomnia, sleep disturbances, racing mind, or high anxiety and stress.
I used chamomile during my healing journey as Medical Medium says it helps to relieve bronchial and sinus congestion, plus it can help to decrease menstrual cramping, ease muscle spasms, and even reduce migraine pain. In, addition it can calm anxiety and panic attacks too.
Chamomile tea’s anti-inflammatory properties makes it beneficial for helping to reduce swelling associated with arthritis, fibromyalgia, and other autoimmune diseases. It also stimulates the liver and kidneys to help them purge out any toxins, and cleanse them from the system.
This medicinal herb also has anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties making it especially beneficial in fighting against colds, flus, infections, and even Candida.
Those who have allergies to ragweed might want to avoid chamomile.
