A note from @The_Smile_Enthuisiast, longevity coach and co-creator of our Medicinal Herbal Blends.
Burdock root is a medicinal herb—and it's also an edible root, which can be consumed fresh (if you’re lucky enough to find it where you live). Burdock root is prized for its powerful anti-tumor, anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory, and anti-microbial properties. This medicinal herb was always by my side during my healing journey (and beyond). Burdock root helped me with my bronchial congestion during my bouts of bronchitis and chest infections. Medical Medium says that Burdock root is an essential blood purifier and detoxifying herb. It actually has the power to neutralize, and safely eliminate poisons and toxins from the body—which is why this medicinal root continues to be a must have herb for me during my longevity journey. I will be consuming burdock root (and herbal infusions containing burdock root) for the next 77+ years!
Medical Medium says that Burdock root is a top recommended herbal intervention for cancer, due to the belief that it can stop cancer cells from metastasizing. It’s actually one of the star ingredients of the famous Essiac tea (a well known natural cancer remedy).
So what other sort of symptoms or conditions would I use Burdock root for?
Colds, flu, sore throats, chest congestion, ulcers, gallstones, anemia, edema, kidney stones, chicken pox, gout, measles, strep throat, urinary tract infections, bladder infections, and hepatitis just to name a few. If I was suffering with chronic skin problems such as acne, psoriasis, eczema, and shingles—Burdock root would be an active member of my herbal infusions. If I was battling with an inflammatory type of auto-immune disorder, like rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, bursitis, lupus, and even diabetes--I’d be bringing in the Burdock root because it’s an effective painkiller and it can help alleviate symptoms of inflammation.
If I was a guy with an enlarged prostate…Burdock root would be a part of my daily lifestyle.
