One of the reasons I'm so in love with this product is because it has one of my favorite essential oils of all time in it -- frankincense. Yep, if I was stranded on a deserted island and I could only have one essential oil, it would definitely be frankincense.
Frankincense is known as the “King of Oils”, and for good reason. Frankincense oil comes from two words in the old French language -- “franc encens” -- which mean quality incense. Frankincense comes from a tree native to India, the boswellia serrata. This tree has been known for thousands of years to produce compounds that are highly anti-inflammatory, and has been used in healing for centuries in ancient cultures.
Many people may be familiar with frankincense from Christian Scripture, where it was used for healing, religious anointings, and spiritual ceremonies. You may know that frankincense was one of the gifts the Magi brought to baby Jesus and it was said to be “more precious than gold.”
This oil has the potential to cure migraines, anxiety, and depression. It boosts the immune system, and helps reduce stress and negative emotions. Frankincense heals skin and helps prevent signs of aging; it improves memory and helps with hormonal imbalances and infertility. Frankincense can help with sleep and digestion, too.
