Holy Basil (Krishna/Vishnu) & Linden Leaf and Flower
Managing my stress is something I have been consciously working on for a few years. While adjusting my mindset, and controlling my own emotions was a huge part of my journey. I found that incorporating healing herbs with nervine qualities was a necessary addition inside my stress-management strategies. I also gravitated towards blending my herbs; choosing herbs which would reduce anxiety, tension and provide sedative qualities were the herbs which I gravitated towards blending. Herbs can work differently for different people, but I have experimented with blending several herbs, and I will share with you all the blends which I felt to be beneficial for me.
Linden flower is a soothing nervine that relaxes tension. It has been used for centuries to help reduce anxiety, calm the nerves, reduce stress, and alleviate hypertension, and headaches. Linden flowers have calming and sedative properties which can help prevent insomnia and produce a restful night’s sleep.
I like to blend my linden flower with Krishna Tulsi (Holy Basil). Krishna Tulsi is a powerful nervine tonic that helps to strengthen the nervous system. It helps in controlling all the activities within my body that are regulated by my nervous system. It also improves the inner-workings of my brain, and enhances my mental concentration. Krishna Tulsi also has significant analgesic properties, which can give relief from migraines, headaches, and tension in the body. One of the most significant properties that Krishna Tulsi possesses, are it's adaptogen agents. Adaptogens help the body manage stress and anxiety on a cellular level. These adaptogen properties also helps to avoid the free-radical formation within the body while relieving stress on brain as well.
