Managing my stress is something I have been consciously working on for a few years. While adjusting my mindset, and controlling my own emotions was a huge part of my journey. I found that incorporating healing herbs with nervine qualities was a necessary addition inside my stress-management strategies. I also gravitated towards blending my herbs; choosing herbs which would reduce anxiety, tension and provide sedative qualities were the herbs which I gravitated towards blending. Herbs can work differently for different people, but I have experimented with blending several herbs, and I will share with you all the blends which I felt to be beneficial for me.
Gotu kola is an adaptogenic herb which makes it excellent for strengthening the adrenal glands and preventing stress related illnesses such exhaustion, insomnia, and fatigue. Gotu kola is an adaptogen, which helps the body manage stress & anxiety on a cellular level. These adaptogen properties also helps to avoid the free-radical formation within the body. Medical Medium says gotu kola helps to relieve high blood pressure, and headaches—two symptoms which can be experienced by those who are under chronic stress.
I like to blend this adaptogen with a sedative herb to help calm my body on a cellular level and on a physical level. California poppy contains sedative properties that make it highly useful for relieving anxiety, stress, panic attacks, insomnia, and hypertension. California Poppy is known to be a phenomenal natural pain reliever and is a safe alternative to prescription medication. It contains analgesic and antispasmodic properties, which is useful in providing relief from acute nerve and muscle related pain. These issues can come about from chronic stress, especially when you carry your stress in your neck and shoulders.
